No surprise - we here at Christmas Central have been planning our Christmas decorations for a while now! As always, it’s so much fun to see which decorating styles, colors and combinations are represented in the latest Christmas trends.

Gingerbread
Christmas 2022 is all about comfort and coziness – and what’s cozier than a Christmas cookie? While the gingerbread theme is a Christmas classic, the look this year is diverse. There are traditional gingerbread men, gingerbread women and gingerbread houses with red, green and white trim. Bright candy colors are popular, too, so you’ll find gingerbread decorations embellished in minty green and bubblegum pink, as well as candy cane red and white.

Metallic Luxury
Gold, silver and luxury metals provide a rich, glamorous look from deeply traditional to sleekly modern. Go for a gold or bronze glow in a green tree or a shimmer of silver or platinum in a flocked tree. Metallic Christmas ornaments glimmer on their own but also shine brightly mixed with nearly any popular color palette. Try trendy combos like cobalt with silver Christmas ornaments or pink with gold Christmas ornaments. Metals look great off the tree, too, in wreath accents and table top decor.

The 2022 Pantone Color of the Year is “Very Peri,” a dusky purple with blue-gray undertones.
