In Scandinavian folklore, the Kraken is a legendary sea monster of enormous size with an octopus-like appearance said to appear off the coasts of Norway. It is known to strike fear into the hearts of sailors, as it has a reputation for pulling down ships. In Snow Village Halloween, the Kraken has taken over a house on Trick-or-Treat Lane. Green arms protrude out of lighted windows and dare anyone to come near. The house does have a signpost that reads" Beware of the Kraken".
