Bunnies, Chicks & More: Egg-cellent Ideas for Amazing Easter Decor

Feb 26th 2024

Bunny figures, pastel lights, artificial tulips and other Easter decor combine in a charming Easter tabletop tableau

Easter comes early this year, which means it isn’t too soon to go all out on your Easter decorating!

There are plenty of ways to get started and plenty of places to tuck Easter decorations to add a little bit of sunny style.

Hang colorful Easter wreaths on doors and walls. String floral garland around doorways and fireplace mantels. Set sweet bunnies and chicks on tables and bookshelves. Brighten your indoor spaces with pastel string lights and fun window silhouettes, charming gnomes and cheery spring flowers.

Even if you only have a few Easter decorations, you can create a new look by combining them in unexpected ways or by introducing some strategic additions.

How to Display and Combine Easter Decorations

If you need a little Easter decor inspiration, consider these ideas:

  • Display faux or decorated Easter eggs individually on spindle and pillar wooden candle holders. Cluster holders of different heights to create a cohesive display.

  • You add bows and decorations to your entryway topiaries at Christmas; why not do the same for Easter? Tuck decorated plastic or wood Easter eggs in the foliage. Add a few bright ribbon bows and a string of pastel LED lights to give your topiary a spring makeover.

  • Use an undecorated moss wreath or twig wreath as a base for your Easter wreath. Embellish it with Easter ribbon, tinted eggs, artificial flowers, pastel lights and Easter picks for a one-of-a-kind spring creation. Check out this video on how to create a bow from wired ribbon.

  • Buy and decorate an Easter tree or create your own. Arrange twigs in a tall woven basket, glass bottle or vase and hang homemade or decorative eggs with pretty spring ribbon.

  • Need a centerpiece for your Easter gathering? Arrange colorful eggs, Easter tabletop decorations and brightly wrapped Easter candy on a bed of Easter grass.

Spread the Joy

When you’re ready to decorate, consider all the different areas in your home that could benefit from some light and bright Easter decorations. If your decor is limited, try to display at least one item in each space in order to spread a little Easter joy around your home.

Below are some of the most popular Easter decorations, along with suggestions on the best spots to show them to advantage.

Easter Wreaths

As with any other wreath, an Easter door wreath is a great way to create an inviting entrance. Beyond the front door, adorable Easter wreaths also charm on a wall in the front hall or above a sofa, over the fireplace and in the dining room above the buffet table. Switch out framed artwork in the kitchen for a wreath. Or set a small wreath on your dining table as the base for a centerpiece.

Garland

Don’t overlook the charm Easter garland can add to your decor. As with Christmas garland, Easter garlands add atmosphere strung across a mantel or above a credenza. Hang garland along the edge of a serving table or bookshelf. Floral garland nicely frames doorways. When run down the center of a dining table, perhaps twined with pastel string lights, floral Easter garland makes an unobtrusive alternative to a centerpiece.

Easter Lights

Easter lights can instantly perk up your holiday decor! Choose pastel mini lights or whimsical novelty Easter lights shaped like colorful eggs, Easter bunnies, spring flowers – even carrots! In addition, let lighted Easter egg and bunny silhouettes brighten up your walls and windows.

Tabletop Decor

From adorable bunnies to playful spring gnomes, you’ll find a range of charming Easter decorations to display on tables, mantels and bookshelves. Fluffy chicks and plush rabbits work well as part of a larger display. You’ll also find moss rabbits, sisal rabbits and a scattering of sheep for your Easter table arrangements.

Florals

Nothing says “spring” better than flowers! However, Easter’s early arrival this year may make it difficult to find just the right blooms. Never fear – this is the kind of situation in which artificial flowers shine. Discover faux flowers that look amazingly lifelike, such as our Real Touch™ tulips. Discover the beauty and practicality of artificial roses, lavender, carnations, peonies and many other artificial flower varieties to grace a dining table or side table throughout your Easter entertaining.
